Hardy The Halford Knockabout 9' - 6" #7 Split Cane Fly Rod
A 2-section rod with a new top section and 9'- 6" long designed to cast a 7-weight line. Rod number is H35469 and dates to 1961. Built from Palakona split bamboo with an agatipe butt ring, snake intermediates and agatipe end ring. Complete with stopper and bag.
The previous owners family have stated that this was one of several rods that had been sent by the past owner to Hardys for refurbishment.
In near-mint condition and looks unused since being refurbished. The refurbishment has included the addition of a new top section. The handle is super smooth and the blank and fittings are unmarked. Sections are the correct length, straight and with a tight joint. The previous owners name has been added above the handle.
The original, unrestored, top section, which is 4" short, has been retained for completeness and is included in the sale.
